Paul Maclean

University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus

Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism and Diabetes

MacLean's research primarily focuses on the mechanisms of obesity, weight regulation, and metabolism. His work examines how different diets and exercise regimens influence weight regain and metabolic health. MacLean aims to understand the role of adipose tissue in weight regain after weight loss and the metabolic factors contributing to obesity and related diseases. His research also explores the intersection of obesity with cancer, particularly how metabolic diseases accelerate cancer progression and how dietary interventions might mitigate these risks.
